ALMA, Mich. — A back and forth contest did not go in favor of the Albion College women's basketball team, dropping a 60-57 game to Alma College.
Brazyll Watkins led Albion with 15 points while junior post
Emma Cooke chipped in with 13. The only other Albion player in double figures was senior
Riley Davis with 11 points, going 5 of 9 from the floor.
Through the first quarter, the Brits led 19-15. By the half, Alma held a slim 28-27 lead over the Britons.
Down the stretch, the hosts gained a lead and did not look back. Despite Albion getting good looks, the Britons could not even the score as Alma came away with the three point victory.
The Scots scored 18 points off Albion turnovers.
Albion will be back in action in Dec. 18 as part of the Puerto Rico Classic.
