Esports continues playoffs

Albion, MI— Monday night the Albion College Smash team went up against their opponent from Campbellsville University, ending in a 2-1 defeat for the Brits. Each Brit player played their serious characters in the first game, and lost. In the second game, however, each player brought out their fun characters and just barely won the game.

Tuesday night provided an incredibly interesting game, indeed. The two Albion 2K players that were left in playoffs had made it far enough into the brackets that they would be against each other. This game was fought hard by both players, Logan "v Logey Bear" Sosnowski and Julian "StoryofGreed" Pacheco. Game one had a score of 58 (Sosnowski) to 43 (Pacheco), and game two had a score of 52 (Sosnowski) to 41 (Pacheco). This was an all-around great game, as both players utilized what they could and fought well against each other. However, Logan took more advantage of mismatches and mistakes, securing his victory and moving onto the next round of finals.

By the time Wednesday evening had made its appearance, the Overwatch team was preparing for the match against Sacred Heart University. The roster for the game was as usual: Miles "Memeles" Slaughter, Henry "SirDrKiwi" Wehrly, James "CrumbDumb" Walker, Ethan "Colossu02" Boersma, and Alex "Ninjaaa" Nieto Jr. The fights for each game were drawn out and fought hard, making it difficult for either side to be fully dominant over the course of the game. The maps were as follows: Antarctic Peninsula (0-2 L), King's Row (3-0 W), Junkertown (4-3 W), New Queen Street (0-1 L), and Lijiang Tower (2-0 W). Colossu02 made some good gameplans that clutched out the win for the Brits. Regardless of the changes the Albion team may have wished to make, they secured an excellent 3-2 victory over their opponent and will be moving onto the next round of playoffs.
