Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

VB stifled in Ohio

ADA, Ohio – It was a tough afternoon for the Albion College volleyball team, as they were swept on the final day of the Ohio Northern Invitational. The Brits went to the wire with No. 23 ONU, falling 3-2, before being swept by Case Western Reserve.

In game one, Olivia Alexander led Albion with 17 kills, as freshman Carly Frank contributed 11. Both Kaylynne Nicholson and Ja'Nyece Larry added nine kills apiece. Mariah Brenz finished with 43 assists and 16 digs. 

The Brits were led defensively by Brenz and Paige Williamson's 16 digs, while Alexander finished with 12 and Courtney Companion registered 11. 

Jenna Schienke led Albion with 17 digs in their second match. Despite CWRU controlling the tempo, four Albion players totaled 10+ digs (Schienke, Williamson, Alexander and Companion). 

Albion will be back on its home court Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match against Heidelberg.
