NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Facing some tough regional talent, the Albion College men's wrestling team competed at the North Central Invitational on Saturday. The Brits were led by sophomore Bernard Harrison, who took fifth in the 197 pound bracket.

Harrison led the Britons, going 4-2 overall. He earned a pin in 2:08 to open the day before it ended with a 10-3 decision in the fifth place bout. At 165, Brixton Bright finished the day with a 4-2 record. Two of his four victories came via major decisions (11-0, 13-1).

Two wrestled at 174 – Jack Smith and Owen Turnbow. Both wrestlers ended the day with a 1-2 record. Smith's win was a fall (4:06) and Turnbow grinded to a 9-1 major decision. The 285 bracket saw a pair of Britons in Dawson Ransom and Colton Turk. Like Turnbow and Smith, each recorded a 1-2 record on Saturday.

Gary Iobe was 3-2 at 184. Two of his three wins came with bonus points, as Iobe registered a tech fall and a pin during the competition. Sophomore Koen Eberhard went 1-2 at 141 with a 10-4 victory and at 125, Benito Tinaj was 0-2.

The Britons will prepare over the next month for the NWCA National Duals, held Jan. 10-11.
