Five from men's lacrosse honored with All-MIAA status

LANSING, Mich. – Five members of the Albion College men's lacrosse team were recognized with All-MIAA accolades, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Marcus Haynie, Cal Stearns and Logan Bonner were all named to the First Team, while Timmy Salinas and Logan Bride were Second Team selections.

Haynie has enjoyed a breakout season as a sophomore, leading the MIAA with 42 goals. Haynie leads the Britons with 54 points on the season as well. He has also picked up 34 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers, while scoring a team-high six EMO goals.

Stearns lands on the First Team after being the MIAA Rookie of the Year in 2023. His 33 goals and 49 points are both good for the second highest totals on the team behind Haynie. Stearns also has scored four man-up goals as a co-captain.

Bonner has been at the center of the Albion defense all season long. The senior has started all 17 games to this point and has caused 22 turnovers and picked up 21 ground balls.

Salinas received All-MIAA accolades for the second consecutive season. Co-captains with Stearns, the senior has 18 goals and eight assists to this point, proving his versatility throughout his four years. Earning All-MIAA honors as a long pole in 2023, Salinas was recognized as a midfielder this season.

Bride is the third sophomore to be recognized on All-MIAA teams for the Britons, coming off a year where he led the team with 33 caused turnovers. Another key part of Albion's defense alongside Bonner, he has been crucial on the faceoff wing this season.

The Britons host No. 3 seed Calvin tonight for a 7 p.m. faceoff in the MIAA Semifinals.
