Track and field sees six named Acadmic All-District

Six members of the Albion College track and field teams were named CSC Academic All-District, with three advancing to the national ballot.

Will Davis was the lone representative from the men's team. Davis, a sprinter for the Brits, earned All-MIAA status as part of the 4x100m relay team that won the title.

On the women's side, Avery Campbell, Tess Anthony, Ashley Booth, Fatima Cruz and Olivia DeGraaf were all chosen. Campbell was the NCAA Elite 90 Award winner, which is given to the athlete at the NCAA Championship event with the highest GPA. Anthony and Booth are both incredible throwers for Albion, as Cruz and DeGraaf challenge each other on the daily in distance events.

Davis, Campbell and Anthony all advanced to the national ballot.

To be eligible for the award, one must hold a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or better, be at least a sophomore athletically, and end the season ranked in the Top 50 of at least one event in the cross country, indoor, or outdoor track and field season.
