ANGOLA, Ind. — The Albion women's track and field team climbed the standings from seventh to sixth place on the final day of the MIAA Indoor Championships at Trine University.
Morgan Hurd led the Britons with a runner-up finish in the weight throw, scoring 15.71 meters to help Albion improve its team standing.
Mia Czarnowski turned in another strong all-around performance, placing eighth in the long jump while adding a 13th-place finish in the 200 meters and 12th in the 60-meter dash.
Leilani Casteele also delivered a solid showing in the throwing events, finishing sixth in the weight throw and 11th in the shot put. On the track, Caragh Dwyer added points for Albion with an eighth-place finish in the 400 meters.
The Britons closed the meet with a strong performance in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing fourth to help secure the team's improvement in the final standings.
