RESULTS
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Logan Vining and the 4x200m relay squad broke program records at Wittenberg's Steemer Showcase for the Albion men's track & field team, who finished 12th as a team at the meet.
Vining bested Kiehl Smith's 800m record set in 2018, as he took fourth in a time of 1:54.58.
The 4x200m relay team of
Wyatt Putney,
Josiah Graddick,
Myles Hancock and
Cooper Bright placed third with a mark of 1:28.70 to break the school record set in 2023 at the same meet.
Graddick also had a fine day individually, as his 400m time of 49.58 was good for sixth in the field and the third-best mark in program history in the event.
In a 91-man field, Hancock took 29
th in the 60m (7.18), while
Israel Aquino hit a PR in the mile (4:41.00) and was the Britons' best finisher in the event.
Bright's 22.35 in the 200m placed him seventh to round out the track events.
In the throws,
Van Norman threw the eighth-best shot put in program history with a toss of 14.93m that placed him sixth among the field.
Parker McDonald (12.82m) was Albion's top performer in the weight throw.
James Grey finished eighth in the triple jump (12.84m), while Putney took 24
th in the long jump (5.79m).
Will Monnig placed ninth in the pole vault (4.11m).
