Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Volleyball swept by OAC opponents

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Albion College volleyball team dropped a pair of games on Friday at the Mount Union Invitational. 

Mount Union took the first match from the Britons in straight sets. After a rocky opening set, Albion regrouped during the middle set. 

Sophomore right side Carly Frank led the Brits in the first match with 16 kills. Freshman Kayda Herrick contributed 13 kills and 12 digs in her first collegiate game. 

Brinley McCaig (22 assists) and Joelle Boeskool (15 assists) ran the Albion offense. 

Defensively, Paige Williamson finished with a game-high 18 digs. 

In the second match, Marietta upended Albion 3-1. The Britons won the first set before the Pioneers went on to claim the next three. 

Herrick led Albion with 10 kills, Frank finished with nine and Reese Williams ended with eight. McCaig had 19 assists in the loss, while Boeskool ended the match with 18. Williamson was the only Albion player with double-digit digs with 16. 

Albion will play tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
