Volleybrits drop heartbreaker

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Despite leading two sets to none, the Albion College volleyball team fell 3-2 to Ohio Wesleyan University. 

Freshman outside Kayda Herrick tallied a career-high 23 kills. She was the only Briton to finish with double-digit kills. Brinley McCaig and Joelle Boeskool ran the Albion offense, with each tallying 17 assists. 

Defensively, Paige Williamson led the way with 25 digs, while Herrick, playing six rotations, ended with 14. 

Albion had 15 aces in the match, led by five from Williamson and four each from Herrick and Boeskool. 

Tomorrow, the Britons will continue the NCAC-MIAA Crossover with matches against Wittenberg and Denison. Games are at 10:30 and 3:30.
