Calvin snaps WBB win streak

ALBION – Unable to keep up with a fast-moving Calvin team, the Albion College women's basketball team saw its winning streak snapped in a 69-51 loss to the Knights. 

Both Ava Guilford and Brooklynn Tornes scored 13 points in the contest and each dished out three assists. Senior Emma Cooke led the Britons with eight rebounds, as Guilford grabbed seven. 

The Knights picked up their offense in the second quarter, outsourcing the hosts by a 20-6 margin. That would be a sizable enough advantage for Calvin to leave with the conference victory. 

Calvin used Albion's turnovers to its advantage, scoring 24 points. 

With the conference bye this weekend, Albion will be in action next Wednesday against Saint Mary's. The home game will tip off at 7 p.m.
