RESULTS
HOLLAND, Mich. – Six top-10 finishes highlighted the Albion men's swim & dive team's performance at the MIAA Invitational hosted by Hope.
Competing inside the Holland Aquatic Center, the Britons placed fifth amongst all the conference teams (145 points) as scoring mirrored a championship. Calvin (1,632 points) won the event.
Evan Steele notched eighth in the 1,000 freestyle (11:19.82), while
Harper Prutch placed 14
th in the 200 freestyle (1:52.29).
Jalen Hung finished in the top 15 in both the 200 IM (2:02.98) and the 100 butterfly (55.70), while
Tyler Deubel and
Brody Roberts each placed 15
th in the 100 butterfly (56.52) and 100 freestyle (52.93), respectively.
Prutch also placed 11
th in the 100 backstroke (56.71), and Deubel rounded out the Britons' best finishers in the swim events with sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:59.00).
The 400 freestyle relay squad of Prutch, Roberts, Deubel and Hung took ninth (3:24.62).
In the diving events,
Jeremy Romero led Albion with a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter (218.90) and sixth in the 3-meter (209.50).
Cam Thompson also placed in the top 12 in both the 1-meter (142.95) and 3-meter (142.90).
