FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – For the third time in his career, senior Cade Odrobina has been named the MIAA Wrestler of the Week.
The Rochester, Mich. native earned the honor after a dominant performance at the Trine Invitational, where he captured the individual title in the 133 weight class.
Odrobina opened the tournament with a hard-fought 6–5 decision over Trenden Bashore from Olivet, followed by a narrow 2–1 decision against Kaleb Salazar from Manchester. He then turned up the pressure, securing a 12–0 major decision against Rochester Christian's Julian Rojas and a 13–1 major decision over UW-Stevens Point's Lane Karsten. In the finals, Odrobina was declared the winner on a forfeit.
Odrobina and the rest of the wrestling team will return to action on Sunday, November 16 as they host the Albion Invitational.
