FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Freshmen forward
Chloe Salo and midfielder
Diane Hurtado have earned second-team All-MIAA honors for the 2025 season.
Both players were instrumental in the Britons' 10-5-2 finish and helped them clinch the No. 5 seed in the MIAA Tournament. It was just the third 10-win campaign in the last decade and first since 2021.
The duo were just two of four freshmen who made the All-MIAA team and only pair of freshmen teammates to land on the list.
Salo registered nine goals, which was tied for second in the MIAA following the conclusion of the regular season, and one assist. She also tied for fourth in the conference in points with 19.
Salo had one of the finest debuts of any Briton in program history. In Albion's 8-1, season-opening victory over Bluffton on August 29, she scored a hat trick in the first 17:26 of the match that garnered her MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors.
It was Albion's first individual three-goal performance since Emily Brittain's trifecta on March 26, 2021 against Olivet.
Hurtado posted three goals and six assists on the season. The assists total was tied for third in the MIAA once the regular season finished.
One of Hurtado's scores came against Mount Union on September 21, which helped earn her MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors the next day.
