NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Albion College men's wrestling team competed at the North Central Invitational on Saturday and earned a 12th-place finish in the competitive 17-team field.
Eight wrestlers earned wins on teh day, with
Peyton Brooks leading the way for the Britons. The senior earned a fifth-place finish at 165 with a 4-2 record. Brooks registered one win via a decision, a fall victory in just 0:24 seconds, and a technical fall victory (3:57) to round out the day's performance.
Jayden Lewis earned. a pair of wins at 157, both coming via falls.
Jack Smith added a win at 174, while
Gary Iobe nabbed a victory at 184.
Owen Turnbow went 2-2 at 184, highlighted by a major decision(16-6) over Wheaton College's Jacob Kraker.
Bode Brown and
Colton Turk rounded out Albion's wins in the 285 bracket. Turk's second win was full of excitement, as the junior earned a 4-1 sudden victory decision over Olivet College's Malachi Loewen.

The Britons will return to action in the new year, when they head to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the NWCA National Duals.
