Esports Week in Review: 2/15-20

ALBION – Midway through the season, the Albion College esports team continued their spring campaigns. On Wednesday, Rocket League against Wilmington via forfeit.

Last week, Overwatch 2 played against the University of Mississippi. Albion had a very fast 40 minute win against Ole Miss. That same day, SSBU played against Bethel University. Heath LaPointe led the team taking off six stocks from the opponent but lost overall to the number one team in the division, 2-0.

Fortnite Builds played some great matches this week in the ECAC. Placing sixth game one and 10th game two, the best placings the team has had all season. Julian Pacheco played against Oakland City University in 2K. It was a tight battle going back and forth, but he ultimately lost both games by less than five points.

The Valorant and Rocket League teams traveled to Trine for an in-person matchup. RL won handily, but Valorant fell short.
