Five men's lacrosse players named All-MIAA

Headed to MIAA Semifinals once again, the Albion College men's lacrosse team saw five honored with All-MIAA status. Cal Stearns and Logan Bride were First Team selections, while Luke Schuemann, Andrew Miller and Ben Schollett all landed on the Second Team. Additionally, Schuemann was named the Rookie of the Year.

Stearns earns his third straight All-MIAA nod, leading Albion with 46 goals and eight assists. In conference play, he has scored 19 goals – also a team-best. This is the second straight season Stears is a First Team selection.

Bride, a 2024 Second Team honoree, lands on the First Team following an impressive defensive campaign. His 42 caused turnovers lead the team and his 82 ground balls sit him second on the squad.

Schuemann becomes Albions third MIAA Rookie of the Year in the last four seasons, joining teammates Will Tessin (2022) and Stearns (2023) to earn the accolade. Overall, Schuemann has 25 goals and his 16 assists are tied for the second-highest on the team.

Miller secures Second Team accolades, coming off a season where he has scored 33 goals and added 18 assists. A starting attackman, Miller has scored three man-up goals and has picked up 23 ground balls.

Schollett has been a crucial part of the Briton defense this season, causing 18 turnovers and picking up 34 ground balls. In just six MIAA games, the junior has caused 10 turnovers.

The Britons head to Adrian College tonight for the MIAA Semifinal contest. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
