TIFFIN, Ohio – Mia Czarnowski paced the field at Heidelberg's Larry Brown Invitational in the long jump for the Albion women's track & field team.
The sophomore, who is also on the Britons' women's soccer team, leapt a distance of 5.15m which is the sixth-best mark in program history and best since 2022.
Czarnowski also placed sixth in the 60m (8.46), while
Paige Allis (8.51) took eighth at the brand new Frann's Fieldhouse.
Brianna Bennett and
Melanie Symons each won the 400m and 800m, respectively, as well. Bennett finished with a time of 1:04.41, while Symons ended with a 2:53.05 mark.
The 4x200m relay squad ended with a victory in a time of 1:51.99.
Bianca Baird and
Taylor Adams went 3-4 in the mile (5:39.96 and 6:00.09), while
Lauren Fenstermaker's 29.84 was the best for the Britons in the 200m (ninth).
Stellamia Aerts took sixth in the 60m hurdles (10.63), while
Veronica Paniccia was Albion's best finisher in the 3,000m (12:40.35) to round out the track events.
For the throws,
Morgan Hurd placed seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 13.90m and also took ninth in the shot put (9.76m).
Leilani Casteele finished in the top 10 in both the weight throw (13.04m) and shot put (9.82m) as well.
Zoey Bennett was the runner-up in the triple jump (10.17m), while
Chelsea Thelen placed sixth in the long jump (4.76m).
Maggie Sorrelle tied for third in the pole vault (2.75m).
