RESULTS
HILLSDALE, Mich. – Morgan Hurd's seventh-place finish in the invite section of the weight throw led the Albion women's track & field team at Hillsdale's Wide Track Classic.
The junior threw a distance of 14.56m in the event.
Hurd also placed 13
th in the open portion of the shot put (9.49m), while
Leilani Casteele (9.65m) finished 11
th.
Casteele also competed in the open part of the weight throw and took 15
th (11.42m).
Maggie Sorrelle and
Stellamia Aerts both tied for 10
th in the open pole vault with leaps of 2.67m, while
Mia Czarnowski (4.80m) and
Chelsea Thelen (4.70m) placed in the top 15 of the long jump.
As for the running events,
Bianca Baird took 10
th in the 3,000m (11:46.13), while
Serena Arnold placed 14
th (12:16.90).
Lauren Fenstermaker took 15
th in the 400m (1:07.61), while
Melanie Symons placed 14
th in the 800m (2:54.12).
Caragh Dwyer (28.00) and
Taylor Adams (5:53.42) were the Britons' top finishers in the 200m and mile, respectively.
The 4x400m relay quartet of
Brianna Bennett,
Mars Wells,
Sarah Kozal and Sorrelle placed eighth with a time of 4:29.25.
