Western Equestrian Performs Well, Claims High Point Honors in Afternoon Show at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- As has been the case for the majority of the campaign, the Albion College western equestrian team added another high-point finish to its resume this weekend, claiming the top spot in the afternoon show at Michigan State University.

In the morning show, Albion turned in several strong rides as Adrian College claimed high point team honors. Anna Divis led the way in reining, earning a first-place finish, while Stellamia Aerts captured a win in Ranch Riding Section A and later added a fourth-place ride in Level II Horsemanship Section B. Aerts' consistency across events earned her High Point Rider of the morning show.

Albion also picked up top finishes from Ella Farwell, who placed first in Ranch Riding Section A and second in Level II Horsemanship Section A. Farwell's second-place ride qualified her for IHSA Regionals. Additional podium finishes included Aubrey Martin's first-place effort in Rookie Horsemanship Section A, along with runner-up rides from Avery Vick and Claire Stier in Level I Horsemanship.

The Britons closed the day on a high note in the afternoon show, claiming High Point Team honors ahead of the host Spartans. Albion recorded multiple individual victories, including first-place finishes from Miranda Mott (Rookie Horsemanship Section A), Aubrey Martin (Rookie Horsemanship Section B), Annie Jones (Level I Horsemanship Section A), and Avery Vick (Level I Horsemanship Section B).

Albion's strength in Ranch Riding continued in the afternoon as Stellamia Aerts earned another first-place finish, while Ella Farwell added a third-place ride. Aerts also took first in Level II Horsemanship and was named Reserve High Point Rider of the afternoon show, capping a standout day.
