SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Both the 4x200m and 4x400m relay squads powered the Albion women's track & field team at Wittenberg's Steemer Showcase, where the team finished 12
th overall.
Mia Czarnowski,
Paige Allis,
Caragh Dwyer and
Maggie Sorrelle posted a time of 1:46.62 for the 4x200m team, which placed second overall and was the fourth-best mark in program history.
Brianna Bennett,
Mars Wells,
Lauren Fenstermaker and Dwyer were the quartet who headed the 4x400m squad that also ran the fourth-fastest time in school history (4:15.77), good for seventh among the field.
Czarnowski was 15
th in the 60m (8.07), while
Stellamia Aerts placed 22
nd in the 60m hurdles (10.31).
Sorrelle ran the eighth-best time in program history, with a 1:01.59 400m time.
Bianca Baird placed 16
th in the 3,000m (10:44.71), while
Taylor Adams (2:36.41) and
Veronica Paniccia (6:10.30) were the Britons' top finishers in the 800m and mile, respectively.
For the throws,
Morgan Hurd (13.55m) and
Leilani Casteele (12.84m) placed inside the top 20 in the weight throw, while
Kaylee Kopulos took 30
th in the shot put (9.74m).
Zoey Bennett was sixth in the triple jump (9.69m), and Czarnowski saw a ninth-place performance in the long jump (5.01m).
Thelen hit a PR in the high jump (1.43m), while Aerts (2.70m) and Sorrelle (2.70m) finished 20-21 in the pole vault.
