FINDLAY, Ohio – The Albion equestrian team's hunt seat team won their show against Findlay in the two-day show from February 7-8.
On Saturday,
Maggie Sorrelle (intermediate fences),
Victoria Panasiuk (intermediate flat),
Aine Carey (limit fences) and
Anna Harvey (novice) all came in first place in their respective disciplines.
Anna Huard's third-place effort in the open fences was the best finish of any Briton in the discipline, while Sorrelle and
Lucia Scouten each finished second in the limit flat event.
Scouten and Panasiuk pointed up in the intermediate and open flats disciplines, respectively, while Chelsea Ramdahn placed at her first show after recently joining the team.
On Sunday,
Phoebe Martin won both the open fences and open flat competitions, while Panasiuk and Sorrelle each came in first in intermediate fences.
Sorrelle also came away with a victory in the limit flat.
Carey and
Tiffany Yang both finished runner-up in limit fences and novice, respectively, while
Lucia Scouten and Ramdahn took third in intermediate flat and introductory, respectively.
The high point rider was Martin, and Sorrelle claimed reserve high point rider.
Jake Jaworski pointed up into intermediate flat, and so did Panasiuk into open fences.
Martin also qualified in the open fences.
Martin (open fences), Jaworski (limit flat), Panasiuk (intermediate fences and flat) and Scouten (limit flat) all qualified for IHSA regionals in March.
