FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Lauren Thomas has been named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week. It is the first time a Briton has received this honor since Aaliyah Eudabe on April 22, 2024.

Thomas was instrumental in the Britons' 16-15 overtime victory against Aquinas on February 24. The sophomore scored six goals, including the game-winner in the extra period, and added an assist on the first score of the game.

After taking a 5-0 lead, Albion found themselves down 12-7 in the third. Facing a 15-11 deficit with 6:58 left in the fourth, Thomas scored a goal with 1:36 left that made it a one-score game.

She also recorded three caused turnovers and picked up three ground balls.

Thomas came to Albion after spending her freshman year at Siena Heights, where she started in 13 games and scored her only goal of the season against Alma. 

Thomas and the Britons will be back in action on Tuesday, March 3 as they take on Bethel at 6 p.m. at Alumni Field.
