NEW ORLEANS, La. — Cooper Bright and
James Grey have been named to the USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field All-Great Lakes Region team.
Bright earned All-Region recognition in the 60m dash, while Grey was honored in the triple jump.
The top eight individuals in each event from each region on TFRRS's year-end descending order lists earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top eight relay teams. The 10 regions are East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South and West.
Bright ran a career-best 6.85 in the 60m at the MIAA Championships that placed him fourth. Overall, the senior's time was tied for sixth best in the region and is also tied for second in Albion history with current head coach
Lance Coleman's mark from 1991.
Additionally, Bright placed third in the 200m and was on the 4x400m relay squad that was runner-up at the MIAA Championships.
Grey's triple jump mark of 14.11m is what won him the MIAA title. The senior's jump was ranked seventh in the region and is the third-furthest jump in program history.
Additionally, Grey placed seventh in the high jump and 13
th in the long jump at the conference meet.
