FINAL RESULTS
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Albion men's track and field team competed in the two-day Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge from March 13-14 in South Carolina.
The Britons competed in a 23-team field, seeing strong results across multiple events on the opening day. Cooper Bright finished fifth in the 100m (10.78), a field featuring over eighty athletes. Myles Hancock finished 20th, Wyatt Putney 33rd, Georgio Pitts 51st, and Manny Hodges 53rd.
Robert Belf III led the Britons in the 800m open, finishing in 2:04.11 to place second. Samuel VanderWerf followed closely in seventh (2:06.93), while Adan Rojas finished 17th (2:10.22).
In the 4x800m relay, the team of VanderWerf, Rojas, Belf III, and Logan Vining finished fourth with a time of 8:26.26. In the 4x200m, Albion secured second place (1:26.43) with the quartet of Hancock, Josiah Graddick, Putney, and Bright.
In the hammer throw, Parker McDonald took eighth place, while Trevor Lemaigre and Delmar Clay finished 24th and 25th, respectively. John Jackson also earned a ninth-place finish in the javelin.
On the second day, Hancock, Graddick, Putney, and Bright took third in the 4x100m relay with a 41.68. Shortly after, Graddick placed 22nd in the 400m, while Israel Aquino took 16th in the 1500m.
Vining excelled in the 800m, finishing fourth in 1:53.78. In the 200m, Hancock finished 22nd, and Putney placed 29th.
