FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — For the third time this outdoor season,
Cooper Bright has earned MIAA Track Athlete of the Week honors.
The senior put on a remarkable performance at the MIAA Championships over the past weekend as he won the 200m (21.64) and placed third in the 100m (10.66). He was also on the runner-up 4x100m relay team (41.74) and the fourth-place 4x400m relay squad (3:27.17).
Bright became the first Briton to win the 200m at the MIAA Championships since Justin Meredith in 2014. Additionally, his season-best mark of 10.49 in the 100m is tied for 32nd in all of Division III.
During the indoor season, Bright was named a USTFCCCA All-Region and second-team All-MIAA selection. He was recognized as the conference's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 13 and April 20 as well.
