HILLSDALE, Mich. — Seven Albion track & field athletes competed at the Hillsdale Last Chance Meet following last week's MIAA Championships.
On the men's side,
Matt Lathom placed second in the 5,000m in a time of 18:10.34.
John Jackson was fourth in the javelin (46.77m), and
Maverick Messenger also competed in the pole vault.
On the women's side,
Alexis Ames threw a career-best 31.06m in the javelin — good for sixth in the competition.
Riley Adams finished in eighth in the event as well (28.12m).
Additionally, MIAA champion
Morgan Hurd and
Leilani Casteele competed in the hammer throw.

Various individuals will compete at GVSU and Augustana's Last Chance Meets throughout the following week with the hopes of breaking a school record, achieving a personal best or qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
