MARION, Ind. – Mitch Clinton and Lorenzo Reese had career-best performances in the 5,000 meters and triple jump, respectively, as Albion College athletes braved a chilly day to compete in the Polar Bear Invitational at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Clinton completed the 5,000 meters in 16 minutes, 8 seconds.
Justin Meredith put up times of 11.62 in the 100 meters and 23.25 in the 200.
Coach Lance Coleman added Kendall Maddox was impressive in running in the 1,500 and 5,000-meter events and Alex Goricki finished an active day of competition in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles and the triple jump.
Albion athletes will travel to Saint Louis, Mo., next Saturday for an invitational at Washington University.
