Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College finished with a 5-2 edge in shots on goal Saturday, but one defensive breakdown proved costly in a 1-0 setback at Trine University.
Summer Pattison accepted a long pass from Shelby Kindl, and Pattson flicked the ball past an Albion defender for the only score of the match in the 63rd minute.
Albion's best scoring chances were in the first half. Domenique Sarnecky, Lindsey Eames and Kayla Paquette had shots stopped by Trine goalkeeper Jamie Schnarr. The Britons also had a shot clank off the crossbar.
Taylor Shrader and Jessica Bidock had their shots stopped by the Trine goalkeeper a minute before Pattison's goal.
Albion will play its next four contests at home, starting with an Oct. 5 date with Olivet College. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
