DEFIANCE, Ohio – Team scoring was not kept in the indoor meet at Defiance College Friday night, but Albion Coach Lance Coleman maintains the Britons would have done well if figures were tabulated.
Mitchell Klingler put the exclamation point on the Britons' second meet of the season by producing a stadium record in the 3,000 meters. He completed the race in 8:46.26. Mitch Clinton established a personal record of 9:11 in finishing third.
Colin Howard and the 4x200 relay were Albion's other event winners. Howard topped the field in the 800 meters with a performance of 2:01.73. Don Strite produced a runner-up time of 2:02.89.
Justin Meredith was the runner-up in the 60 meters, Josh Lowe produced a personal record in finishing third in the triple jump, and Brant McCollum was third in the 400 meters.
Alex Goricki also had a nice meet with a runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles and a personal record in the triple jump.
Albion's next competition is the Hillsdale College Tune-Up on Feb. 22.
