DEFIANCE, Ohio – Jessica Shaw was the winner of the 3,000 meters as Albion continued to compete indoors with a meet at Defiance College.

Shaw was nearly a minute better than her nearest competitor, completing her race in 10:44.96.

Theresa Hencsie was third in the 800 meters, Maicey Peterson achieved a personal record of 9.95 in her preliminary heat of the 60-meter hurdles and Angela Morrison was fourth in the long jump.

Albion Coach Lance Coleman praised the jumpers. Rhiki Swinton, Camille Sawicki and Morrison all reached nearly 10 meters in the triple jump.

Albion's next competition is the Hillsdale College Tune-Up on Feb. 22.
