ANDERSON, Ind. – Albion track & field coach Lance Coleman was pleased when the men's team finished just 4 ½ points behind the third place squad as it launched the 2014 season in an indoor meet at Anderson University.

Josh Lowe was the only individual event winner, soaring past the field in the triple jump with a personal record leap of 42' 3 ¼". The distance medley relay team comprised on Kendall Maddox, Don Strite, Erik Davis, and Paul Lewis also finished first.

Albion received runner-up performances from the 800-meter relay team (Justin Meredith, Carles Summerour, Mikal McCoy, and Nick Bertoia), Mereidth in the 60 meters, Mitchell Klingler in the 3,000 meters and Colin Howard in the 800 meters. Klingler added a third-place finish in the mile.

Albion will compete in the Defiance College Open Feb. 14.
