ANDERSON, Ind. – Based on his athletes' performance in the Anderson University Indoor Invitational, Albion Coach Lance Coleman is pleased with where his athletes are for this point in the season.
Justin Meredith sprinted to a time of 7.06 seconds to take second in the 60 meters and he led off the 4x200 relay team that finished second in 1:33.45. Sean Thomas, Mikal McKoy and Nick Bertoia completed the relay team.
Colin Howard also secured a second-place finish in the 800 meters. His time of 2:00.42 was just 35-hundredths of a second off the pace set by Joel Hartman of Bethel (Ind.) College.
Also scoring for Albion were Kyle Braun, who completed the 1,000 meters in a third-place time of 2:48.67, Cristino Hoban who finished sixth in the 1,000 (2:59.09), Zach Osbourne when he cleared the bar at six feet to finish sixth in the high jump and Alex Goricki, Mitch McCord, Bertoia and Ben Kolanowski in the 4x400 relay.
Albion will compete in an indoor meet at Calvin Feb. 14.
