ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Justin Meredith sprinted to top three finishes in two events and Joshua Lowe was the runner-up in the triple jump as Albion College finished seventh in a large field assembled for the Viking Olympics at Augustana College.

Meredith matched Olivet Nazarene's Zach Gordon stride-for-stride in the 100 meters. Meredith's time of 11.15 seconds was two-hundredths of second behind Gordon.

Meredith finished third in the 200, posting a time of 22.27 seconds.

Lowe reached 44 feet in his second attempt in the long jump. He jumped nearly 43 feet on his third attempt and fouled on his final two.

Also scoring for Albion were Alex Goricki (sixth in the 110 hurdles and ninth in the triple jump), Jon Wylie (eighth in the steeplechase), and Jeremy Shephard (ninth in the 100 meters).

Next up for Albion is competition in the April 4 Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University.
