NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Justin Ware, Jeremy Shephard, Josh Lowe and Justin Meredith knew they were a clean race away from breaking the Albion College record in the men's 4x100 relay.
It all came together May 15 as the Britons sailed to a time of 41.45 in their final race of the season at the Gregory Invitational at North Central College. The Britons forged a tie for the week when they achieved a time of 41.71 a week earlier.
Lowe, a senior who prepped at Vandercook Lake High School in Jackson County, also achieved a personal record in the long jump. He reached 22' 3 ½" to finish seventh.
Mitch Clinton achieved a season-best time of 9:37.71 in finishing 18th out of 38 runners in the field for the steeplechase.
