DANVILLE, Ky. – Senior tri-captain Julie Wood produced three goals in Albion College's 17-5 loss to Centre College in non-league women's lacrosse action.

Centre scored three times in the first 8 ½ minutes of the game and never trailed.

Wood got Albion on the board with an unassisted score with 20 minutes left in the first half, but Centre scored the next four to take control of the game.

Centre finished with a 33-24 edge in shots, including 26-16 in shots on goal. Wood was credited with nine shots for the Britons, while Cait Gaitley took five. Shannon Kahl scored a goal on the only shot she took.

Albion pounced on 26 groundballs. Taylor Nelson collected seven, while Victoria Della Pia and Kadie Koolwick finished with four apiece.

Albion will complete its weekend trip to Kentucky with a 1 o'clock Saturday contest against Berry College.
