LOS ANGELES – Julie Wood produced four goals and Cait Gaitley chipped in with three in Albion College's 17-8 loss at Occidental College in non-league women's lacrosse action Thursday night.

Gaitley and Wood scored 1:11 apart as Albion cut the deficit to 4-2 midway through the first half.

Katie O'Connor and Rebecca Reese combined to score five goals to lead Occidental to 10-2 lead with 6 ½ minutes left in the first half.

The final minute of the first half was action packed with three goals scored. Gaitley scored her second goal of the half and Albion trailed 12-3 at halftime.

Wood scored three times in the second half and Kadie Koolwick also tacked on a goal for the Britons.

Albion's next game is March 26 at Illinois Wesleyan University.
