BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Cait Gaitley, Kadie Koolwick and Alex Radzville scored two goals apiece in Albion College's 8-6 setback at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Radzville and Koolwick scored as Albion jumped out to a 2-0 lead a minute and a half into the game.

Maggie Krause scored and dished out the assist on Dani Engelbreit's goal as Illinois Wesleyan forged a 2-2 tie.

Radzville's second goal lifted Albion to a 3-2 lead with 18 minutes left in the first half.

Illinois Wesleyan seized a 6-3 lead as Abby Kushina and Krause scored 30 seconds apart and Clarke Rich and Engelbreit scored later in the first half. The Titans extended the lead to 7-3 on Sam Bidlack's goal five minutes into the second half.

Koolwick scored her second goal of the day and assisted on Gaitley's second goal of the second half as the Britons cut the deficit to 8-6 with 8:12 to play, but neither team scored from that point.

Albion finished with a 36-20 advantage in shots. Julie Wood placed 11 shots on goal.

Albion begins Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association competition with an April 6 home date against Olivet College.
