ALBION, Mich. – Ami Milligan dished out 20 assists to become Albion's all-time leader, but the offense never got on track against a Saint Mary's squad determined to collect dig after dig.

McKenzie Todd, Meaghan Gibbons and Kaylin Szucs all finished with double figures in digs to lead the Belles to a 25-18, 25-23, 25-16 victory over the Britons in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association volleyball action inside Kresge Gymnasium.

Milligan reached the career milestone when Stephanie Thurner terminated a point late in the second set. A senior from Alpena, Mich., Milligan has dished out 2,412 assists as a Briton, breaking the mark set by Eliza Lee (2,404) from 2002-05.

Albion made 131 attacks in the contest, but only got 29 to fall. Marie Pregenzer was Albion's most effective hitter, finishing with nine kills and five blocks. Kelsey Gustafson and Lauren Outwater added six kills apiece.

Albion will take a break from league action this weekend, traveling to Ohio for matches against Marietta College, Wilmington College and Capital University.
