ALLENDALE, Mich. - Albion College sent a handful of runners to a Friday meet at Grand Valley State University.
Colin Howard and Mark Klingel finished sixth in their respective events. Howard set a time of 1:58.59 in the 800 meters, and Klingel achieved a personal record of 15:47.15 in the 5,000 meters.
Andrew Wittland, Alex Dermody and James Weekley also competed in the 5,000. Wittland, an all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team performer in cross country, completed his race in 15:59.41. Dermody's final time was 16:06.76. Weekley, an all-MIAA first team performer in cross country, crossed the finish line in 16:32.21.
Another all-MIAA performer in cross country, Andrew Bill, set a time of 8:54.23 in the 3,000 meters.
Kiehl Smith and Adam Ditri represented Albion in the mile run. Smith set a time of 4:31.15, with Ditri finishing in 4:32.45.
Jessica Shaw and Allison Snyder represented Albion in the women's 3,000. Shaw, an All-American in cross country, achieved a time of 10:27.86, while Snyder's time was 11:32.03.
