Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. – Host Trine University ripped off a 13-0 run late in the first half and it went on to score a 78-49 victory over Albion College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's basketball action.
The Britons trailed 20-9 midway through the first half, but Jaylin Fordham, Darius Branch Ryan Lowe and Jason Zahran provided the scoring as Albion pulled within one, 25-24, with five minutes left.
Albion missed its next six shots, while Kyle Dodson produced seven points for Trine as the Thunder extended the margin to 38-24.
Albion never got within 12 in the second half.
Fordham and Zahran scored 10 points apiece for Albion (5-13 overall, 2-5 MIAA). Branch and Aquavius Burks added nine points apiece.
Trine's Will Dixon led all players with 23 points and Adison Daub chipped in with 20.
Next up for Albion is a Saturday date at Hope College.
