FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Michael Umeh has been selected as a first-team All-MIAA honoree.
The senior became the first Briton to receive all-conference honors since 2023 and first on the first team since 2022 (Cortez Garland).
Umeh was instrumental in the Britons' 14-12 (7-7 MIAA) campaign — their first winning season since 2021-22. A true force on the glass, he was fourth in the conference with 210 rebounds (8.1 per game) and third in all of Division III in offensive rebounds per game (4.73).
The Macomb, Mich., native averaged 14.0 points per game and was 10th in Division III in field goal percentage (61.8%) with eight double-doubles. He also tallied 32 blocks, which were third in the MIAA.
Umeh earned MIAA Player of the Week honors on February 17 following a career-high 26-point performance on 10-of-14 shooting against Alma and 18 points, including the game-sealing dunk, against Kalamazoo.
After playing in just two games in his first two seasons combined, Umeh developed into a career 61.4% shooter from the field and averaged 12.0 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as well.
