Box Score OLIVET, Mich. – Rain Hinton and Evelyn Wischmeyer led Albion College on an 11-1 run late in the third quarter as the Britons seized control of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball game at Olivet College.
Hinton produced a career-high 21 points off the bench to lead Albion to the 91-75 victory.
The first half featured a run by each team.
Albion gained a 21-11 lead early in the second quarter with an 11-0 run.
Sydnee Dennis produced eight points as Olivet countered with a 12-0 run to seize a 23-21 lead midway through the second quarter.
Brooke Schutte, who scored 18 points in her first five games for Albion, provided the baskets to steady the Britons. She hit twice, one from 3-point range, as Albion regained the lead at 26-23.
Schutte added one more basket in the final minute of the quarter as Albion and Olivet were tied at 35 going into halftime.
Schutte finished with 13 points, hitting 6-of-7 shots from the field.
"Brooke gave us a huge lift when we were struggling to score," Albion head coach Doreen Carden said. "The bench was good for us tonight."
The teams traded the lead until Albion took control in the third.
Hinton produced a career-high 21 points off the bench, hitting 8-of-10 shots from the field.
Wischmeyer led the starting unit with 18 points, hitting both her shots from 3-point range and going 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
Emily Bernas was Albion's other double figure scorer with 14.
Tierra Orban chipped in with a career-high seven assists. She also collected six steals, matching her career high.

- Albion made 19 free throws, its second-most in a game this season. The Britons made 24 in the non-league victory over Lourdes.
- Albion has scored more than 90 points twice this season. The Britons finished with 98 in the victory over Lourdes.
- Albion shot 47.9 percent from the field, its third-best performance of the season.
