ANDERSON, Ind. - Albion College took first place in four events as it finished four points behind the host team in the Anderson University Indoor Invitational.

Zach Osborne cleared 6' 4" in the high jump, Andrew Strzelecki achieved a school-record distance of 46' 2" in the weight throw, Alec Badgley completed the mile in 4:38.44, and Colin Howard achieved a time of 2:36.36 in the 1,000 meters.

The 1,000 was an especially high scoring event for the Britons with Kiehl Smith finishing second and Adam Ditri coming in third.

Albion also did well in the 3,000 meters with Beau Brockett, Chase Baumgardner, Lucas Lusk, Erik Davis and Brandon Gary all scoring.

Sophomores Richard Annorat and Jephte Jean Claude produced 14 points apiece. Annorat was the runner up at 6' 2" in the high jump and he finished third in the 60 hurdles, reaching the finish line 8.7 seconds. Jean Claude, competing for the first time this season, posted a runner up time of 8.53 in the 60 hurdles and he soared 41' 8 ¾" to finish third in the triple jump.

"Overall, it was strong, balanced team performance with our team placing in 10 of the 13 events in which we competed," Head Coach Lance Coleman said.

Albion will be in action again on Feb. 10 when it travels to Grand Rapids for a meet at Aquinas College.
