ALBION, Mich. – Albion College completed the non-league portion of the women's lacrosse season with a 15-7 loss to North Central College.

North Central led 9-1 at halftime, but Albion played its opponent to a 6-6 tie over the final 30 minutes.

Cait Gaitley scored three times in the second half and finished the day with four goals. Shannon Kahl finished with two goals and an assist. Lauren Wiegand tacked on a goal and two assists.

Emily Zadny led North Central with five goals. Christina Truver and Kassie Whaling added three goals apiece.

Albion will turn its attention to its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association game, a Wednesday night date at Alma College.
