ALLENDALE, Mich. – Cassandra Vince and Kiehl Smith took first place in their respective events as Albion College entered its distance runners in the Bob Eubanks Open.

Vince easily won the women's 3,000 meters. She completed her race in 9:44.53 for a 24 second margin of victory over her nearest competitor and the school record. She set the scond-fastest time in Division III at this point of the season

Smith was first in the men's 800, completing his race in a school-record time of 1:56.48. He set the fourth-fastest time in Division III at this point of the season.

Next on the schedule for Albion is a Jan. 27 meet at Defiance College.
