ALBION, Mich. – Taylor Nelson led an impressive defensive effort as Albion College routed Hanover College, 15-1, at the Davis Athletic Complex.

A senior from Simi Valley, Calif., Nelson caused six turnovers and scooped up five groundballs.

Ariella Ruiz and Lauren Wiegand each caused a pair of turnovers.

That defensive effort was the reason why Hanover generated just 10 shots in the contest.

Offensively, Jade Barrett scored four goals and Cait Gaitley and Shannon Kahl each produced three goals and an assist.

Next up for Albion is a March 3 contest at Franklin (Ind.) College.
