ADRIAN, Mich. – Competing in the sunshine and warmer temperatures, Albion College track & field athletes achieved a number of good performances in the Don Kleinow Invitational.
On the men's side the javelin throwers jump started a good day with personal records by Nathaniel Frieswyk, Andrew Strzelecki and Joel Gardener and the usual consistent good throws by Rayshawn Robinson.
Kejuan Frazier matched his season best in the shot put and Markell McCoy achieved a personal record. Frazier and Strzelecki also had a good day throwing the hammer.
In the jumps Richard Annorat and Trevor Knowles had a good day in the high jump. While Jephte Jean-Claude led a group of five triple jumpers who performed well, including Knowles and Marcus Freeman who achieved personal record.
On the track, Kiehl Smith ran the fifth-best 800 in Albion history. Liam Walits also ran to an impressive personal record in the 800.
Freeman set a personal record in the 200 and Markeese Boyd ran well in the 400 and 200. The 4x100 relay (Annorat, Boyd, Eric Braun, and Knowles) ran extremely in a season's best.
Annorat ran his two best times of his college career in the hurdles. He completed the 110 in 15.17 seconds to move on to the final, where he finished fifth in 15.25.
