BREA, Ohio - The men competed well at Dr. T conference challenge. Briton men finished 3rd, scoring 56 points. The invite included some of the best division 3 Track & Field talent from Ohio. Scoring for the Britons was balanced with the throws scoring the most with 16 points. Jumps and sprints followed closely with 15 points each, and distance earned 10 points. Trevor Knowles led all Britons in scoring with 10 points. Three Briton men won their events. These three were Adam Ditri in the 3000m run, Xavier Aikens in the weight throw, and Cullen Cox in the 400m. Xavier continues his great improvement in the weight throw. Cullen's performance was the second-best indoor 400m time in Albion College history. Ditri's performance was exciting to watch as he took the lead from the start and challenged the field to catch him. In all, the Britons had two performances that were top ten all-time performances and eight student-athletes who earned personal bests.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
