RESULTS
HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Albion men's track & field team headed south to Hillsdale and competed in a competitive Wide Track Classic at the Biermann Athletic Center.
Fresh off an MIAA Track Athlete of the Week award,
Cooper Bright ran the 60m dash in 7.04 seconds which was good for fifth.
Bright also took fifth in the 200m (22.70), and
Josiah Graddick (22.72) was right behind his fellow senior in sixth.
Both marks were the fifth and sixth-fastest times in program history as well.
Logan Vining's 800m mark of 1:58.70 was good for fourth and is the eighth-fastest in program history.
Will Monnig won the open portion of the pole vault (4.38m), and the 4x400m relay quartet of
Oghenefejiro Nakireru, Bright, Vining and Graddick placed second (3:29.94).
Israel Aquino took ninth in the 5,000m (17:18.74), while Nakireru (54.71),
Adan Rojas (4:57.82) and
Alex Hammond (10:04.59) were Albion's best finishers in the 400m, mile and 3,000m, respectively.
In the throwing events,
Van Norman placed sixth in the invite section of the shot put with a toss of 14.72m which is ninth best in team history.
Trevor Lemaigre (12.45m) was the Britons' best finisher in the open portion of the shot put, placing 13
th, and
Parker McDonald was the same in the open section of the weight throw (11.49m) and took 26
th.
James Grey took runner-up in the triple jump (12.99m) and tied for 13
th in the high jump (1.68m).
Wyatt Putney was the runner-up in the long jump (6.45m).
